The CAA develops common positions of its member associations, mainly in the fields of nature conservation and alpine spatial planning, which often form the basis for statements to political institutions at international, especially alpine-wide level. In most cases, these positions are developed under the leadership of the CAA Commission for Nature Conservation and Alpine Spatial Planning and then adopted by the CAA General Assembly.
